Here's how it started as a skirt from Goodwill.
The lining was some blue fabric I bought at the Outer Banks several years ago.
The design and cutting was all done by hand. I didn't use a pattern. I just figured it out on the kitchen counter. I did use the sewing machine for most of the sewing though. Then I ironed it flat.
According to Sarah, Phoebes has been carrying the bag around constantly since she got it. She's even using it as a "school bag" now.
